Nestled in the family oriented community of Sugarland, Texas, Combined Glory Assisted Living Facility opened its doors in 2014. Owned by two nurses with 20 years of nursing experience, Combined Glory is a premier assisted living option in the community. This 7,000 square foot facility sits on 1.5 acres of land, and sits in its own private oasis of nature. The community is just a stone's throw from the famous Skeeters Baseball field, making the ballpark an excellent place to spend the afternoon with the family. The Sugarland area offers many opportunities for family fun and shopping, such as First Colony Mall and various nearby restaurants and boutiques.
Combined Glory has care attendants available 24 hours a day to tend to the needs and wants of residents. Staff is hand-picked and receives on-going training. All staff members are CPR and Basic Life Support certified according to Department of Aging and Disability guidelines.
Services and Amenities
Combined Glory offers medical services like diabetic, ambulatory, and memory care. For seniors with specific memory care needs, a memory care only section is available. Staff provides occupational and physical therapy. Seniors can feel safe and secure as the home is security monitored 24 hours a day. Hospice is also available.
Residents can also enjoy lifestyle services like help with grocery shopping and errands, housekeeping, and laundry services. For residents who are still driving, resident parking is offered, while transportation is available for those who no longer drive themselves. Meals are provided with the options of anytime dining or room service. Meals are made to fit the nutritional needs of each resident.
Living Arrangements
The care home offers private and semi-private suites. Suites are wheelchair and handicap accessible for seniors with mobility needs. Suites feature Wi-Fi and cable TV.State Classification
Combined Glory Assisted Living Facility is a Type B assisted living facility. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:
Assisted Living Facility
A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:
- Type A:
- A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted.
- Type B:
- A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.
- Type C (Adult Foster Care):
- Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.
