Creekside Continuing Care Community Details

At Creekside, staff are there to encourage residents’ independence while also providing necessary care as needs change over time. When the time comes, staff work hard to make the transition from independent retirement living to assisted living or memory care as stress-free as possible. This home is ideal for couples with different needs. Couples can stay living together through personalized caregiving programs that can accommodate a variety of care levels.

Staff provide a variety of personalized care services including diabetic care, incontinence care, memory care, ambulatory care, medication management, and more. Community specialists make on-site visits regularly to provide ancillary services as needed, and all staff have received specialized training in memory care.

Residents are served three chef-prepared meals per day in the restaurant-style dining room where dietary restrictions can easily be accommodated. In between meals, residents are encouraged to participate in the planned activities and events, as well as take advantage of the inviting common spaces outside of their apartments.

  • Glad To Be Gone

We lived in an independent living cottage for 10 months and are glad we left; 1. The service staff (housekeeping, meal service, front desk, etc.) were invariably cheerful, pleasant and almost always tried to be helpful. It was at the management level and cottage maintenance where things broke down. In our opinion, management was definitely not up to the task. Please note that we have marked "Care Services" as 3 stars but we were independent living and have no actual experience with special services. 2. Having said that the folks who served the meals were pretty good belies our experience with the quality of the meals themselves. With the exception of the soups (almost always good and hot) It was rare to have a meal served as hot as it should have been. Also, frequently, the advertised meal was not available as they had run out - particularly upsetting when you pay an average of 15 days in advance for meals. 3. As an example of management competence; at our departure, we were give a management prepared worksheet showing that Creekside owed us over $350.00. In spite of three months of constant correspondence on our part on this subject we have yet to receive any funds and their infrequent responses - promises that they are working on it and, in one case, the comment that she was real busy!
