The incredible staff is committed to enriching the lives of residents by providing attentive, individualized care around the clock. The small size enables caregivers to build strong connections with residents. No matter the need, caregivers are happy to help.
Caregivers can provide assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and incontinence care. They also encourage residents to stay socially and physically active by providing several activities — including ability-tailored exercises, social stimulation, reminiscing activities, music motivation, and more.
The additional staff takes care of daily housekeeping, laundry, and dining. The in-house chefs provide three warm, home-cooked meals daily along with several snack and beverage options throughout the day.
The home offers several shared, secure indoor and outdoor spaces. Residents are encouraged to mingle and build lasting friendships. Personal pets are welcome upon approval and visitation is always encouraged.
Living Arrangements
Light Heart Memory Care - Clear Lake currently offers furnished, private and semi-private bedrooms for up to eight residents at a time. Residents are welcome to bring personal belongings to help create a familiar surrounding. Let the staff know how to help you feel at home!
Care Types Offered
Light Heart Memory Care - Clear Lake is a Type B assisted living facility. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:
Assisted Living Facility
A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:
- Type A:
- A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted.
- Type B:
- A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.
- Type C (Adult Foster Care):
- Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.
