  • Poor care and not attentive to her needs.

Mom was there 3 months. She fell twice and no one told me even though I questioned her bruises. Head administrator brought in COVID-19 - and it spread to 14 residents - 4 of which died - INCLUDING my Mom. When I went in this administrator was not even wearing a mask just coming back from quarantine. One positive - I got to wear full PPE and be with Mom when she died one week after getting the virus.

  • Merion Gardens is a good fit for a family member

I really thought they were great. I had no regrets ever putting my loved one here. They' couldn't help Covid came along. It was difficult on the residents being more isolated. But they did the best they could. Everybody I came into contact with was great. I have absolutely no negatives to say. My loved one was happy here.

  • She deserved better

Our loved one moved in at the beginning of October, and just three months after one of the administrators brought in the virus. Our loved one contracted the virus and passed away within a week later. We did not see people wearing masks nearly enough, and we think they could of followed the safety protocols a little better. Our loved one did not receive the care we were expecting, they did not give her her medicine properly, charge her hearing aids, or give her the compression socks she needed to be wearing. Our loved ones clothes went missing as well as other belongs. One good thing they did, was the last three days before she passed they allowed us into the community, all suited up and masked up to be with her, however I would not recommend the Merion Gardens.
