Located along Big Fossil Creek, residents enjoy the small-town experience of Haltom City as well as our quick access to big city amenities. With local parks, golf courses, shopping, dining, and access to major interstates nearby, it’s easy to find things to enjoy in this quiet Texas City.

Families can rest easy knowing that our professional staff is available for around-the-clock care needs and assistance and that we’re close to many medical facilities, physician offices, and pharmacies, including Medical City North Hills and Surepoint Emergency Center.

Community Amenities and Services

Our JEA-exclusive Meaningful Moments memory care services offer countless opportunities for residents to create new memories, maximize their independence, and pursue old and new passions. Residents enjoy enriching activities, designed to stimulate the mind, body, and spirit through purposeful programming.

Our team works hard to connect with each resident and their families to learn their history, customizing activities based on their interests and supporting their overall well-being. This looks like Sunday ice cream socials, craft clubs, movie nights, karaoke hour, aromatherapy time, and morning exercise programs with new neighbors. Residents also enjoy our Signature Dining program at Oak Ridge. We provide three nutritious meals and snacks each day, offering even more opportunities to connect with friends and neighbors.

We understand the importance of staying connected to loved ones in order to build upon and strengthen relationships. We work hard to partner with families through education, transition assistance, and offer frequent communication through the Sagely app.

Living Arrangements

We offer private, semi-private, and companion floor plans for each resident to choose from. Each suite has been designed especially for memory care residents, offering feelings of familiarity and comfort. Along with weekly housekeeping and laundry services, residents are encouraged to decorate their space with their favorite family photos and treasured memories.

Care Types Offered

Oak Ridge is a Type B assisted living facility. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:

Assisted Living Facility

A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:

Type A:

A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted.

Type B:

A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.

Type C (Adult Foster Care):

Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.
