To help ensure that all residents retain their health and safety, our full-time licensed nurses and caregivers are available around the clock to assist residents with medication management and any time-sensitive or daily needs. Living Arrangements
We currently offer studio and one-bedroom units, with private and semi-private options. Wireless emergency call systems are given to every resident for any emergency needs. Care Types Offered
Ashwood Court is a Type B assisted living facility. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:
Assisted Living Facility
A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:
Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted.
Type B: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.
Type C (Adult Foster Care): 4-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.
