For in-home services, we offer meal planning and preparation, according to your requests and favorite meals. Our caregivers are trained in the nutritional needs of the elderly and those with specific illnesses, and can assist you in putting together the ideal meal plan. Grocery shopping assistance, and assistance with errands in general, is also provided when needed, along with light housekeeping and laundry services. For transitional moments, we can even help with moving, packing, unpacking, and organizing. Do you have a furry family member? We will make sure they are comfortable and clean, too! Transportation is a breeze with us by your side, as we will take you to appointments, errands, or activities upon your request. Safety is a priority among Senior Helpers’ staff, and we can conduct a personalized home safety evaluation upon entering your home to help assure all spaces are optimized for your mobility, comfort, and ultimate security.
Our companionship and sitter services offer our clients the peace of mind that, no matter what, someone will always be by their side as an advocate for their best interests and well-being. We can provide a variety of individualized services upon your request, which can include simple companionship to alleviate loneliness, stress, and anxiety. We will remain with you throughout those long nights so you will never feel alone. If you are in a care home or hospital setting, we can be your advocate – taking diligent notes, relaying information, and requesting assistance from medical staff when needed. We also offer reminder services across all of your needs, from important dates and times to setting routines for healthy and happy living.
Our staff is happy to just be a companion during your favorite activities as well – including, but never limited to, reading aloud from your favorite books or magazines, providing assistance with crafts and hobbies, scrapbooking, playing games, gardening, taking trips to favorite sites, and even taking you to church. We will also assist you with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, hygiene, dressing, eating, walking, and wheelchair use, among other things. We want to keep you happy and mobile as well and will assist you with light exercises catered just for your optimum mobility standards. Just want someone to talk to? Our staff is trained in calming emotional support techniques to help alleviate any anxiety or depression and help you remember the good things in life. Specialized Care Services
At Senior Helpers we employ certified caregivers to provide you with qualified and specialized care across an array of medical needs. All of our care staff goes through advanced training in Parkinson’s, stroke, and mobility issues, along with memory care issues, such as Alzheimer’s and dementia, to identify the optimum way of providing you with care. We are trained in the best techniques and strategies to care for chronic illnesses, to help assure all our clients are as comfortable as can be. We will monitor wandering, offer supervision, and provide assistance with your activities of daily living (ADLs), such as helping ensure proper hygiene across all areas. Our staff is also trained in nutrition and will monitor your nutritional intake as needed. Home safety techniques are employed to best secure a safe and secure environment, wherever you may be. We offer medication management and reminders, and will even pick up your prescriptions for you. Transportation services are offered for medical appointments, and we can help you set appointments and remind and prepare you for them. Respite care is available for clients who only need care during a healing period or time of transition, with all our services available to them as needed. Hospice and end of life care is also available to those in need.
