Award winning Summerfield of Hammond is a residential community for individuals over the age of 55.

Our community consists of apartments and common area amenities offering housing and certain inclusive services such as prepared meals, maintenance, housekeeping, laundry, transportation, and planned activities/events. Additionally, Summerfield offers assistance by trained caregivers to aid residents with certain healthcare needs such as continence management, medication reminders, escorts to meals, assistance with grooming, dressing and bathing and special diet management. In addition, Summerfield has a dedicated memory care wing offering specialized care for those living with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other forms of memory loss.

    If you can afford the community, this would be a great place. The community is clean, and attentive to the residents. There are a lot of activities available and they try to make sure the residents are involved in the activities. They have great food!

    My mother moved here recently and it's good so far. They keep a good eye on her.They respond quickly to her needs. She's active in the community as well. We chose Summerfield of Hammond because it is close to the area she was living in. Her church, family and friends are close so she has her support system.
