The Point at Rockridge, located in the Rockridge neighborhood in Oakland, is across street from a complete shopping center and only a few blocks from the unique shopping areas of Piedmont and College Avenues. Physician's offices, medical facilities, churches and synagogues, as well as UC Berkeley, the Oakland Museum, and the Paramount Theatre are close by. Additionally, there are many forms of transportation available, including BART and excellent bus and taxi service.

The Point at Rockridge provides the elegance of country living in a convenient urban setting. Each apartment is personalized with the resident's own furnishings, and tasteful wall-to-wall carpeting and draperies are provided. Included in one month-to-month fee is delicious restaurant style dining, weekly housekeeping and full laundry service, utilities, 24 hour security and emergency alert system, and the most diverse enrichment, event, and adult education programs available.
The professionally supervised staff reflects our philosophy by realizing that residents are still growing and learning. Our sensitive staff knows that each resident possesses a life that holds promise for the future.   • Great Assisted Living Facility

    I think the people and the staff for the most part are very caring. I would say do your due diligence and ask a lot of questions of the department leads, and not just the salesperson, to make sure your loved one will be getting everything you're expecting of them. They also had some additional services I wasn't aware of. They have a rehab program I didn't know about, and the woman who leads it is excellent. I would also recommend asking about the ratio of staff to patients. From an assisited living standpoint, I think they're great. I think if you're needing more than that, they need to step up their services on the memory care side. They need more staffing there. I don't think it's reasonable to have 5-7 residents per staff member. I think it needs to be around 2-3 at most. I think the desire to provide that level of care is there. They just don't have the staff. Again, the people are great. The food looks great, but I haven't been able to try it. They talked about a lot of activities, with an ideal situation of residents out of their rooms 90% of the time, but that just hasn't been the case due to Covid.

This location was close to friends of our loved one and this was a plus for our loved one. They did a great job at vaccinating the residents against COVID. This provided us peace of mind. Pre pandemic they had several activities available for the residents to choose from to participate in. They currently have limited activities for the residents.

    The care staff is really nice and does a great job, The community is run like a hotel, it's very clean, modern and, up to date. I would definitely recommend this community to others
