Rakhma was a pioneer in offering alternatives to the typical long-term care setting, and has been a beacon of light for many families struggling with the devastating effects of Alzheimer's disease and other memory impairments. The first Rakhma home opened its doors in 1984 and over the years has expanded to include three homes in the Twin Cities metro area.

  • A Work in Progress During Difficult Times

    I would tell others that the community sometimes has communication issues with the family and staff. Overall the administrative staff have been receptive to my feedback and responsive. All of this might be due to the pandemic.

    A Work in Progress During Difficult Times

    My late husband received very good care here. The group home environment made the transition easier. Though his dementia was quite severe and his speech very limited, I believe he particularly enjoyed the deck and backyard, outings they took, the food, and a caring staff.

    Positive experience

    My late husband received very good care here. The group home environment made the transition easier. Though his dementia was quite severe and his speech very limited, I believe he particularly enjoyed the deck and backyard, outings they took, the food, and a caring staff.

    My late husband received great care here. I felt he was respected, well looked after, and the staff was very kind. I was also impressed by the outings they went on to museums, plays, apple orchards, and even fishing boat excursions. This group home environment was very good for my spouse. It felt like a happy family environment with the residents and staff.
