Once you get settled into one of our studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom apartments, you might find yourself wondering why you didn’t make the move sooner! Designed for your comfort and ease, our apartments feature either a kitchenette or a full kitchen, individual climate control, and private bathrooms with options for accessibility. Maintenance and weekly housekeeping are available. Emergency response pull-cords are located in each apartment, as well.

Schooner Estates is a Level IV residential care facility. In the state of Maine, these terms are defined as follows:
Residential Care Facility
A house or other place that provides assisted living services to residents. Residential care facilities provide housing and services to residents in private or semi-private bedrooms in buildings with common living areas and dining areas. There are four levels of residential care facilities:
Level I: A facility with a licensed capacity of one or two residents.
Level II: A facility with a licensed capacity of three to six residents
Level III: A facility with a licensed capacity of three to six residents, and which employs three or more persons who are not owners and are not related to the owner.
Level IV: A facility with a licensed capacity of more than six residents.
