Located in historic Ashland, our brand-new community boasts easy proximity to great shopping, houses of worship, I-495 and all of the wonderful cultural and recreational attractions in the area.

We offer 80 apartments for 84 residents; a combination of 29 studio, 29 one-bedroom and 2 two-bedroom apartments for independent and assisted living residents and 20 apartments for older adults with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

Amenities abound at The Residence at Valley Farms! It is designed to promote resident interaction through research-based, resident driven programming conveniently located right outside our apartment doors.

Our restaurant offers any-time dining from 7am-7pm. Our Bistro for lighter fare is open from 10am-1pm. There are numerous common areas including a full-service salon, wrap-around porches, a media room, library, sun room and country kitchen.

We are excited to be collaborating with McLean Hospital, The Center for Brain/Mind Medicine and The Center for Alzheimer's Research and Treatment at Brigham and Women's Hospital, and Harvard Medical School, which enables us to provide the best in purposeful programming and lifestyle interventions to promote healthy cognitive and brain aging throughout our community. It also empowers us to have our finger on the pulse of advancements in dementia treatment, new diagnostic techniques, and innovative non-pharmacological interventions and programming initiatives. As well, we will have access to their clinicians and their studies, provide the community-at-large and family members with educational opportunities, and conduct specialized employee training.

Our residents experience the peace of mind knowing that our Residential Care Associates are just a step away to provide support anytime during the day or night. Also, our Resident Care Director ensures a personalized care plan is created and monitored for each resident with the goal of keeping them strong and healthy for years to come.

For older adults with Alzheimer's disease and forms of memory loss, our Reflections Memory Care Neighborhood offers 20 spacious apartments for 24 residents. The neighborhood has its own dedicated and specially-trained Reflections Resident Care Director and Care Associates who focus on providing a purposeful and structured day in a safe and empowering environment. This results in one of the highest staff to resident ratio in the area. Also, all medication administration is performed by a licensed nurse at no additional cost to our Reflections residents.

Respite care is also available.

  • Highly recommend

We chose The Residence at Valley Farm because it just fit the needs of our loved one. The apartment sizes are really big. The food is really good, you get a menu with options to choose from and they are chef prepared meals. It is a very well run facility, administrative staff is great. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.

  • Overall it is a lovely community for independent and assisted living

This community has a whole calendar of events from bingo, chair aerobics and a walking club. They also have arts and crafts, sometimes the residents will paint and during the holidays they may make decorations. They also have game and movie nights. The calendar is broken down by cognitive vs physical. The engagement director, she is fantastic. The food is fantastic, and the chef is amazing. Our loved one only eats certain things and the chefs caters to all of her wants. They have a very nice variety to choose from. The care takers who are with my mom day to day are amazing, they are so kind to her.

  • Compassionate, communicative, and hard working

During my mother's stay at The Residence, the community has mostly been in lock down. From what I have heard, it has been good. Under the circumstances they have been working very hard and have also been transparent with us about what they are doing to keep the residents safe. We get weekly communications regarding what they are doing and they are alerting us whether or not they have had any cases. They have also tested the residents twice to make sure they know exactly who has what and where. They have also shown a lot of compassion towards us and our family. They do try to get my mother out of her room when possible, while keeping her safe at the same time. The director has been very responsive to my questions or concerns and has shown a lot of compassion.
