Whether on-campus or off, there’s something here for everyone. We encourage residents to maintain an active lifestyle with community games, activities, and outings. Residents can congregate with neighbors and friends in our comfortable common areas, or even take a relaxing stroll outside. Our outdoor patio and courtyard provide beautiful scenery and enliven our community space.

We love to enjoy impromptu moments of song and dance by our grand piano, where live music is played by guests and residents. We also serve three nutritious meals daily in our inviting dining room, where physical and social appetites are regularly met amongst delicious dinner plates and pleasant interaction.

Our staff is qualified to assist residents with their activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, meal assistance, mobility, and more. Living Arrangements

We offer a comfortable selection of private and one-bedroom units for residents to choose from. Staff are available 24 hours a day to assist residents whenever and however needed. We’re ready to welcome you home here at Avendelle.

Care Types Offered Avendelle Assisted Living is licensed by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services as a Type B Assisted Living Facility.

Care Types Offered

Avendelle Assisted Living is a Type B assisted living facility. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:

Assisted Living Facility

A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:

Type A: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted.
Type B: A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.
Type C (Adult Foster Care): Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.
